[Bennet, Hickenlooper, Shumlin, Roth]

A summer evening at the Washington D.C. Newseum was the site for “Talking Politics.” More than 150 members of the Wesleyan community gathered for a reception on the patio, where current students and parents mingled with alumni from the past six decades. They were joined by Governors John Hickenlooper ’74 (Colorado) and Peter Shumlin ’79 (Vermont) and U.S. Senator Michael Bennet ’87 (Colorado) for a conversation about national issues including climate change, education, campaign finances, political gridlock and compromise, and more. Everyone in the audience made a gift to support financial aid through ticket sales.
