30 Rock’s Dot Com is ‘Wes alum;’ Del Tredici ’00 is writer/producer

Although Kevin Brown, the actor who plays Walter “Dot Com” Slattery on NBC’s 30 Rock did not attend Wesleyan, the alma mater is written into his character’s bio. Is it only a coincidence that producer and writer Lucas Del Tredici ’00 is a real Wes alum? We think not. Dot Com is noted for arcane knowledge on every topic imaginable—from the gender of author George Eliot to Abraham Lincoln’s relationship with the Republican Party, all of which sail over the heads of his colleagues.
