Santi “Santigold” White ’97 pairs up with Brooklyn-based Kenyan artist Wangechi Mutu to create this vivid experimental animation. Watch the product of the collaboration, "The End of eating Everything."
Santigold is known for unique and innovative style, something that is one of her most compelling features, and now she’s taken that innovative mindset a step further in a new collaboration with Brooklyn-based Kenyan artist and sculptor Wangechi Mutu – on The End of Eating Everything.
An extract from Mutu’s first animated video, currently being shown at Duke University’s Nasher Museum of Art in Durham, North Carolina, The End of Eating Everything runs eight minutes long and focuses on the journey of a flying, planet-like being as it navigates a dreary skyscape. The being, a “sick planet,” is lost in a polluted atmosphere that lacks foundation and is led by gluttony to its doom.
