Josh Gilbert '95 has founded Temperance Beer, which premiered its first four beers at the Prairie Moon last week. The following is a zero budget commercial produced for Temperance Beer Company as part of the 30 Seconds Over Chicago advertising contest:

Founder and Evanston native Josh Gilbert is brewing the beers in a warehouse at 2000 Dempster St., where he eventually hopes to open a tap room and beer garden.
Wednesday marked "the first day beer commercially produced in Evanston [was] for sale in Evanston," Gilbert told Patch via e-mail.
Gilbert told Patch earlier this year that Temperance Beer Company hoped to start selling kegs to local restaurants by mid- to late-August and was in talks to have its brews on tap at spots including Taco Diablo, Found, Farmhouse and Ward 8.
