Goldenring ’77 produces two films

[Jane Goldenring '77]Jane Goldenring ’77 recently finished production on the Disney Channel Original Movie Zapped, starring Zendaya Coleman. Wasting no time, Jane just began production on Boychoir, an independent movie with Dustin Hoffman and Kathy Bates.

After Wesleyan, Jane started producing documentaries for Turner Broadcasting. She has worked as an executive at Walt Disney Company, overseeing the production of over 40 films and taught courses at Chapman’s Dodge College of Media Arts and University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. Goldenring has previously produced Radio Rebel, Growing the Big One and $5 a Day and owns Goldenring Productions.

Zapped is based on the novel Boys Are Dogs, telling the story of a sixteen year old Zoey Stevens who has to adjust to a new school and family. Things change when a dog training app on her cell phone starts controlling all the boys around her. Zapped will premiere on July 18th, 2014.

Boychoir is currently filming. Boychoir follows Stet, an eleven-year-old orphan from Texas. Stet ends up at a Boy Choir school after his mother dies, under the eye of a demanding Choir master who recognizes Stet’s unique talent.
