Baldwin Medal

The Baldwin Medal pays tribute to the late Judge Raymond E. Baldwin ’16. First awarded September 20, 1981, during the opening convocation of Wesleyan’s Sesquicentennial, the Baldwin Medal is the highest honor Wesleyan’s alumni body presents for extraordinary service to Wesleyan or for careers and other activities which have contributed significantly to the public good. Binswanger Prize for Excellence in Teaching

The Binswanger Prize for Excellence in Teaching was inaugurated in 1993 as an institutional recognition of outstanding faculty members. The standards and criteria for the annual prizes shall be excellence in teaching, as exemplified by commitment to the classroom and student accomplishment, intellectual demands placed on students, lucidity, and passion. Distinguished Alumni Awards

Distinguished Alumni Awards are presented to alumni in recognition of achievement in their professions. Awards are traditionally presented at the Wesleyan Assembly and Annual Meeting during Reunion and Commencement to alumni who are celebrating their class Reunion. Read more

James L. McConaughy Jr. Memorial Award

Established in 1959 by the class of 1936 in memory of James L. McConaughy Jr. ’36, the James L. McConaughy Jr. Memorial Award recognizes a member of the Wesleyan family (including students, faculty, alumni, parents, and members of their respective families) whose writing, or other creative achievement, conveys unusual insight and understanding of current and past events. Outstanding Service Awards

The Outstanding Service Award is presented to alumni, parents, or other members of the Wesleyan community in recognition of outstanding volunteer service to Wesleyan, their community, or the nation. Awards are traditionally presented at the Wesleyan Assembly and Annual Meeting during Reunion and Commencement Weekend. Read more

Wesleyan University Service Awards

The Wesleyan University Service Award (WUSA) is presented to volunteers who have given sustained service to Wesleyan University over time or who have given significant service in a specific area such as admission, career resources, The Wesleyan Fund, Reunion planning, or class notes. This award is traditionally presented during Reunion and Commencement Weekend, Volunteer Weekend or Regional Club Events. Read more
