GOLD Giving

Challenge met, and exceeded

In an effort to raise money in support of financial aid, Trustee Ellen Jewett '81 challenged Graduates Of the Last Decade to raise $25,000 by April 30. If the $25,000 goal was met, she would contribute $100,000 to the endowment in support of financial aid.

Over five hundred GOLD alumni contributed $40,189, exceeding the goal by a considerable amount. $100,000 went to the endowment as promised. Many thanks to everyone who supported this worthy cause!

Want the Status of a GOLD Donor Associate?

If you were wondering, a GOLD Donor Associate is someone who makes a leadership gift to Wes. Here's how we break it down:

The Douglas Cannon Club recognizes leadership giving based upon year of graduation:
Classes of 2003-2007 honor Wesleyan with a gift of $500 or more.
Classes of 2008-2012 honor Wesleyan with a gift of $250 or more.
Classes of 2003-2012 honor Wesleyan with a gift of $100 or more to become a GOLD leadership donor.

Consistent giving is just as important! The Foss Hill Club acknowledges those who give every year, beginning with the Senior Gift. Through the Foss Hill Club, young alumni join together again to demonstrate the power of cumulative annual support for Wesleyan.

All gifts, no matter the amount, really do matter and are appreciated!

Overall GOLD goals for FY13:

46% participation (29% participation as of May 6th)
$245,000 in support of financial aid ($174,427 committed as of May 6th)
